Most people track prices the same way: open the product page, remember the number, and check again in a day or two. It works for one product for a few days. After that, it quietly stops.
Automatic tracking replaces that habit. You tell a tool which products you care about, it checks them for you, and it speaks up only when something changes. This guide explains how that works with DealTrackerProBot, step by step, and where its limits are.
Key takeaway: you do the choosing once, by sending a link. The bot does the repeated checking and tells you in Telegram when something is worth acting on.
Why Manual Price Checking Falls Apart
- You forget. Prices move on their own schedule, not yours.
- You cannot remember the baseline. Is ₹1,899 low? You do not know unless you wrote down what it was.
- It does not scale. One product is manageable. Five across two stores is a chore.
- You miss the side signals. Coupons and stock changes do not show up as a price change.
What "Automatic" Means Here
Once you send a supported product link, DealTrackerProBot automatically checks that product in the background and compares what it finds with what it recorded before. It is an automatic checking process for the products you track, not a live feed, and it only applies to supported products and marketplaces.
That is a deliberate boundary. This guide avoids promising instant alerts or full coverage, because a tracker that overpromises on either is not one to rely on.
Your Personal Watchlist
Every product you send joins a personal watchlist inside the Telegram chat. There is no separate app or dashboard. The commands to manage it are simple:
- /list shows everything you are tracking, numbered.
- /product followed by a list number shows one product's details.
- /remove followed by a list number stops tracking a product.
- /stats gives you a summary of your tracking activity.
You can track multiple products at once, from Amazon and Flipkart together, and from the supported Amazon marketplaces. See supported stores for the list, and the Telegram commands page for the full command reference.
The Alerts You Can Get
| Alert | When it fires | Where it applies |
|---|---|---|
| Price drop | A tracked product's price falls. | Supported Amazon marketplaces and Flipkart |
| Target price | The price reaches or drops below the number you set. | Supported Amazon marketplaces and Flipkart |
| Coupon | A supported coupon appears or changes, when detected. | Amazon products only |
| Stock | A product goes out of stock or is back in stock. | Amazon and Flipkart |
Price history, coupon and stock features may vary by marketplace and product, and Amazon India has the fullest set.
Fewer repeated alerts
Since July 30, 2026, price-drop alerts have been designed to avoid repetition. You are alerted when a product first qualifies and again when the qualifying price changes, but not over and over while the price stays the same. If a deal sits unchanged for a long time, you may get an occasional reminder, and if the price rises and later drops again, you get a new alert.
How to Get Started
- Open DealTrackerProBot on Telegram and send /start.
- Copy a product link from a supported Amazon marketplace or Flipkart.
- Paste the link into the chat. The bot confirms the product and begins tracking it.
- Run /list and note the product's number.
- Optionally send /target followed by the number and a price to set a target. Without a target, you are notified on any price drop.

Price History Builds Up as You Track
Each check adds to that product's recorded price history, which is available through /price_history and the all-in-one /product view. It shows what the bot has recorded since tracking began, not the retailer's whole past, so starting early gives you more to work with. Amazon price history explained shows how to read it.
Keeping a Watchlist Useful
- Track what you would actually buy. A long list of idle products is noise.
- Set a target on expensive purchases. It stops you buying at the first acceptable price. See how to set a target price.
- Track both stores for the same product. Each listing is tracked separately. Our Amazon vs Flipkart comparison explains how to compare them.
- Prune with /remove. Stop tracking products you have bought or lost interest in.
What Automatic Tracking Cannot Do
- It cannot track every product or every store. Only supported products and marketplaces are covered.
- It cannot guarantee that a lower price will appear or that a coupon will be detected.
- It cannot show history from before you started tracking.
- It cannot decide for you. It gives you information and alerts, and the purchase is still your call.
